The Most Expensive Watches: Richard Mille RM008 Watch,£279,000

The Richard Mille RM008 Watch is epitome of style, high precision & solidity. Developed from the RM004 chronograph, the RM008 with hand would movement combines a tourbillion and a split second mechanism.

The two complex specifications combined together and lodged in the heart of a mechanical calibre, is a major technical feast. A variable inertia balance provides excellent reliability. It comes in three designs, pink gold and titanium, white gold and platinum. The price £279,000 is for the platinum watch.

$220k watch proves time does, in fact, equal money

Two legendary watchmakers have joined forces to create one of the coolest-looking — and most expensive — watches we've seen. Jean-François Ruchonnet and Vianney Halter made the Cabestan to look unlike any other watch on Earth. Its innards are vertical, with the numbers appearing on the cylinders themselves rather than on a face. As Ruchonnet says, "It is the architecture of the movement itself that is unusual, not its individual parts." You wind it by attaching a "wrench" to the knobs on the side and manually cranking it up, as shown in the picture. You won't be able to pick up one of these at the watch kiosk at your local mall; they're exclusive through the Vianney Halter Web site for the low, low price of $220,000. There are only 135 in existence, a number we can only assume correlates to the number of extremely rich watch geeks in the world.

Most Expensive Laptop

If you thought your 17” Apple MacBook or Alienware Aurora mALX qualified as an expensive laptop, think again.

In 1982 GriD Systems released the Compass 1100 laptop costing about $10,000 (inflation adjusted $20,200). Even this cost pales in comparison to the reports of a costly laptop that luxury manufacturer Luvaglio London is set to release in the near future by special order the most expensive laptop ever sold, with a price tag of a million dollars.

As of now all of the details are very sparse and the technical specifications have not been made fully available. We aren’t even sure what this laptop is made with to give it a cost of $1,000,000, but the exterior looks impressive. You can bet with a price this excessive, the expensive laptop will be a spectacle of precious metals and materials and include more than a couple gemstones.

Expensive Car

The Type 41 Royale was Bugatti's most outrageous car. It was also his most exclusive, as only six were ever manufactured. Each had considerable presence due their massive length, 12 litre engine and huge wheels.

One of the most expensive cars in the world is the Type 41 Coupe de Ville Napoleon. It was the first Royale made, and was Ettore Bugatti's personal transportation. It eventually ended up with the Schlumpf brothers, and still resides in their Mulhouse Museum.

The Kellener-bodied Royale still holds the world record for fetching $8 700 000 USD at Christie's Auction in 1983. When adjusted for inflation, this price would be over 16 million, a price which only other Royales,

Bang & Olufsen (Samsung) Serene = $1,250 (£675)

Bang & Olufsen hooked up with Samsung to design the sleek but unconventional Serene. Its not a bad looking phone and it even has a built-in motor to assist you in opening and closing the phone. It’s not very practical however, requiring a special screwdriver to access the battery and the SIM card, and its circular keypad will take some getting used to. Also, for some strange reason they have positioned the camera lens on the side of the device, which will make it difficult to align snapshots via the viewfinder on the display

Gresso Luxury Phone = £expensive

The Russia based Gresso, is a new entry into the luxury phone market. Their aptly name “Gresso Luxury Phone” is made of gold and African Blackwood. Apparently they will be releasing a collection of five models called the Black Aura collection, and the designer is a “well known” Italian designer. Currently there are two versions of the African Blackwood phone, one with pink gold highlights named the Gresso Blackwood Gold Edition, and one made entirely of African Blackwood. In addition to the two African Blackwood phones Gresso also make a phone made entirely of pink gold named the Gresso Gold phone. Initially, the phones will be on sale only in Russia.

A Very Expensive Mobile Phone

Recent surveys tell that most Japanese choose their phones by appearance. Funny that they seem still packed with features, from mobile TVs to barcode readers.

Japanese phone development seem to be driven by the operators, and they are pushing hard for collaborative design on phones. Nowadays you see phone models named with X's, which means to collaborate with fashion brands and magazines.

A very recent example is Sharp X Tiffany. Among ten new models SoftBank has released was the 823SH Tiffany Model.

The phone is covered with platinum and comes with 537 diamonds on top. There's this Deco-den trend in Japan, which typically covers the surface of the phone with swarovsky crystals, but this is a real thing. It costs 12,980,000 JPY (103,000 EUR), and will be limited to 10 models.
